I'm over the moon with this build. I think that we ( Greg) did everything correct. I know it has been a major PIA for him but I hope at the end of day it will be a very special car. Yes it's going to Rennsport in September. Tickets have been purchased and I even got a camp site above turn 5 for our Airstream. I'm hoping to get some editorial coverage with it in the near future showing the potential of 928 when all the correct boxes have been checked.
The best thing about working with Greg is that he never gives up until it's perfect. If his finger prints are on it, it'd done correctly. If you ever want to see the "stink eye", suggest compromising. This is word the does not exist in Greg's world no matter how difficult things become.

Temp switch and fuel vent solenoid connectors were swapped. And it's a whole new motor in terms of the idle map as it warmed up, so lots of dialing-in to do.

You can tell, really quickly, if they are swapped, from the smoke that comes out of the connector hooked to the temperature sender. That sender doesn't seem to like 12 volts hooked through its resistors.
This time OK.....was just double checking.
Because I've been chasing other problems, the only tuning done on this engine has been to tell Sharktuner that the engine has bigger injectors. (She's a bit rough around the edges, right now.)

That engine sounds and looks awesome Greg,
cant wait for it to be in the car and road tested
