That's a sad thought, but none that I'm aware of.
Actually, we might be the only company, still in business, actively building 928 stroker engines for clients.

by the way, not to change the subject, 1999 to 2008. M96/M98 engines of the 996/997 all had bore score issues... what was that due to ? any relations to the things you fixed in your design that protected from that problem? and are your strokers now alusil with stock blocks or are you doing Nicasil too? (asking for a friend.. yeah really. )

I build both Alusil and Nicasil, depending on intended use.

Porsche's "bore score" issue is unique to the Locasil/printed piston technique used in those engines.
