S2? S? 89? 88?

Z-man 924S was 87-88, like the 944S. the 931 was 80-82 i beleive... recheck those facts...
and kenny, you are a troll. if you like muscle cars so much sell your 944 and stop wasting our time. i figured that you had a 16V car, but with an n/a body that was only the 944S. its not that hard to find out all these facts, its called the search button.
nothing is wrong with me. someone who owns a 944 and professes to like muscle cars has an identity crisis.

Thats enough sugar for you michael.
maybe he never read the FAQ's. It should be required reading before anyone posts.
Maybe Z can prepare a test. after someone reads the FAQ's, and passes the test then they can post.
Bonus question:
What do Mullets and 944s have in common?
They are both business in the front and party in the back.
No wait, that should be what do mullets and camaro suspensions have in common.

ok i have had my 944 for more than two years. if it wasnt for porsches, i wouldnt have gotten into cars at all then into hotrods then into muscle cars. i like to drive my 944 its a daily driver. i love the way it handles and yes at 100 it feels like 60 or less in other cars. i like power, and this car doesnt have it. but i own one of my favorite cars, that i have wanted for a long time. my first car was an 85 gt that was stripped and weighed maybe 10 lbs more than my 944 if that and it had about 350 hp and 350 ft/lbs. i happen to like the convenience of only being around 1500 rpm and being able to take off without waiting for torque to come on. I LIKE THESE CARS!

Somehow a line was chopped from my post: the 931 / 924S lines got overlapped. List corrected. Sorry.

OK,
thats enough sugar for you Kenny.
No more sugar for Kenny or Michael today. Save those snickers for tomorrow.
Trick or Treat.
Is it a crime to like porsches and muscle cars?
Is it a crime to drive a porsche and have a mullet?
Is it a crime to drive a camaro without a mullet?
Should it be a crime to drive a camaro with a mullet?
cant we all just git along?

Haha, this thread is hilarious. It's as entertaining as Seinfeld.
--Kenny, did the valve cover have a tan-ish color to it and was there a large black plastic air filter box in the front middle of the engine bay with 16-Ventilier on it? I've never seen a 2.7l 944 motor, so does anybody recall what it looks like? There must be some differences between it and the 2.5 regarding looks. If the car IS a 944S, and the motor is not running...and the driver left the car there and ran away basically...I wouldn't spend more than 1k to buy it. Reason being, it is hard to find a 944S head that has not been damaged and is not in use. When the timing belt breaks in these cars, most often there are bent valves and sometimes the chain tensioner will rip out of the head, cracking stuff as it goes. Someone I believe had this repaired on their S...
Before spending 4k on that car, keep in mind...this guy most likely wants the thing out of his shop. If he doesn't know Porsches well, that is most likely why he is asking so much for it. What he has is not worth much at all as it stands. Even a car in excellent shape in the interior, does not reflect that it has been taken care of. How many miles are on the car? How clean is the motor, and are there any records included in the glove box? For 4k you could also buy an excellent 944 Turbo, in need of some motor work (a friend bought one for under 3k in need of a turbo). Being a 944S owner, I do not recommend buying a non-running 944S unless you know beforehand exactly what is wrong with it.
....more than two cents, but oh well.

i think my computer is messing up, the posts keep getting posted before im done typing. BUT THE REASON I WANT TO SAVE IT IS: THE REDNECK WANTS TO PUT IN A CHEVY SMALL BLOCK> CARBUREATED 383! the car to me, is too perfect to mess up like that. thats my opinion. i will try calling to see if it is still there. its been a couple months.

If it was aluminum colored, it was probably a 2.7 944. The 944S's aquire a tan-like color to the valve cover and other parts...I think it has something to do with the coating and paint. If it's a 2.7, it could potentially be a great running car for MUCH cheaper than the 16v. I'd look into getting the guy to drop the price to something around 1k....he has to be interested in getting that thing out of his shop....

OH, save it please! Haha, should of told us that in the first place. Just don't spend too much on it!!! That car could have more gremlins than it's worth (especially for 4k)!
Off to class.......

well i am only guessing that it had the n/a front end. its been a while since ive seen it i tried calling my parents and sister to get the number, but no answer. i AM pretty sure that it had the 16 valve engine though. and i bought a ton of needed parts for my car. after i get the svo done, and the 944 running perfect, maybe i can sell it and get the s! or have both if possible

hahaha kenny... go ahead, buy all the porsches you can. if you think you're poor now, just wait.
i'm not arguing with you. arguing would be trying to prove you wrong, i'm just posting facts, and asking questions that are pertinent.
Z- thanks for clearing that up, i was wondering why someone so knowledgeable would post that... hehe, so obviously wrong it HAD to be a typo.
