Block was dropped off at FedEx hub and shipped to my business address with a forklift, on a freight account.

Maybe ask around local businesses, machine shops maybe? If you can ship there. Hell, when I worked at a CVS as a teenager we had a lifting dock for incoming shipments... Maybe you'll find something

I believe Fastenal stores will act as pickup points for commercial shipments. Or...perhaps they actually handle the shipping as well..It's worth calling them to inquire.

I got it squared away. I'm friends with the GM of my local autozone and they are taking delivery for me, shipping will be around 200 dollars

These are perfect for shipping a block.

Suspect you are referring to a bare block?

At 30"x20"x14", can't imagine a short block with pan would fit.

Glad you finally found a nice clean block. And it's already half-assembled! +1 on leaving the rings alone.

Thanks! I'm very excited; elated actually. My car has been down a LONG time, it will be 2 years this coming march. This isn't just a second lease on life, this will be a major upgrade as well. In addition to a new engine, it's getting a rebuilt torque tube; a new, much better FMIC setup and a big FM oil cooler along with a significantly improved custom engine harness, a better exhaust, a +4* cam advance key, and a ported big valve head with 49mm intake valves plus lots of other small goodies and new parts. I'd like to see 350 wheel horse at something like 20 psi on E85. My car weighs about 2750 lbs so it should go pretty well with 350 rwhp.

I can't wait to

Would like to see your FMIC.
I am debating sticking with this huge ebay FMIC I bought or building an AWIC system...

Sure I'll take pics. I'm a huge believer in FM for these cars, my data logs back to back stock IC vs ebay FM showed a substantial drop in IAT. My previous unit was too big for the car and had side exits so the piping was loooong and fukl of inefficient bends. my new unit is thicker and is a V mount with top exits which will dramatically simplify the charge piping. I'll take some pics of the oil cooler too, IIRC its something like 120 CI fed by 10AN SS lines.

Yes, these will fit the block with girdle and all the studs but won't fit with a pan or head.

If the girdle is removed, I place some wood in the bottom of the bin and drill some holes in the wood for the studs to slide down into. The weight of the block sits on the wood and not on the studs.
