LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one who calls it that.

I painted mine with silver engine enamel I had sitting around

It's been quiet in here! My excuse is that I put my car back together and have been enjoying it as much as possible lately.

On the 3D printing front:

New bellhousing plug colors added - Green and orange

Same five colors are available for ISV and Turbo Aux Waterpump clamps.

I previously shared the 3D Printer Files (STL) in this thread so anyone with a printer can make their own. If you don't have access - I put a few up on eBay.

2 more parts come to mind:
The air box/timing cover hose delete caps.
And, similar to your turbo aux wp clamp band, something to go inside the clamp for the upper radiator hose (it attaches to the air box bracket.) All the ones I've seen are wrapped with electrical tape--including mine

Ah, a fresh 3D-printing thread. I was thinking perhaps we could start a Rennlist group on thingiverse* and gather up our Porsche prints?

Only modeled the fan **** right now but i plan to do more things..

Any one happen to be in possesion of CAD models for the 968 mirrors or door handles?

*Thingiverse is a site for sharing 3d-printingfiles (STL)

Edit: I made a group

What would be good material choices for parts that encounter high heat and gasoline?

Does anyone have a file for a plug to replace the headlight washer nozzle?

Would anyone be willing to 3D print the plastic locking chuck on the factory spare tire air compressor? Mine is barely held together with epoxy and I'd imagine this is probably a common failure part on these otherwise great compressors.

I'll take a look at mine and see if it's do-able. If there's a need, I can print 'em.

Default Shifter Vibration Dampers

You guys are going to like this one!

Ever since I installed the Only944 shifter, I've been annoyed by how loose the **** felt with re-using the stock shifter vibration dampers.

I'm not sure if this is the case for everyone, but the Only944 shifter I bought is slightly thinner (3/16" / ~4.75mm) than the stock one (~1/4" / 6.1mm), so the dampers have quite a bit of play.

OEM vibration dampers on Only944 shifter.

Factory shifter left, Only944 shifter right

I've actually had to change my hand position when shifting gears so the **** wouldn't twist.

Voila! Narrower vibration dampers to fit the Only944 shifter nice and tight. They're also quite a bit firmer than the factory rubber ones. These are a perfect fit on both the shifter and inside the ****.

I didn't want to leave anyone out, so I also sized a pair for the OEM shifter.

I ignored the ribs on the OEM versions - it would be difficult to print these and they don't seem necessary.

For those without printers or access to one, I've made a couple eBay listings:
Only944 shifter version
OEM shifter version
