Default Sway bar resources?

After reading several articles on sway bars and suspension upgrades I am at a loss as to where to find sway bars 29 to 30 mm fronts and 19 mm rears? Did they come with some "mystery" car or does some aftermarket company make them? It's for my '86 951.

IIRC, the M030 option on the 968 was a 30mm front swaybar and a 19mm adjustable rear swaybar.

I've read that is true but finding them is a bit tough. I guess I'll just keep checking the usual resources. I also found that LR took over from where Porsche left off and makes them. I'd like to keep the costs down as much as possible so I'm hoping to find a used set down the road. I did score a set of front coilovers with adjustable collars that only need lighter springs. 500 lbs spring rate is just tooooo stiff.

You did get a good deal on the struts
I can probably source a set of sway bars for you too.

I'm going to use 250# so the ride isn't too harsh and I have supplier eye-balled for them after the car is running. I'm trying to not get too crazy with the car but still want to have some fun at local autocrosses. Unfortunately, Florida roads are straight and flat and there's precious little places to go where these cars can be enjoyed.

Thanks for that offer. I guess the 968 M30 option had that 30/19 package available from what I've read.

i have this new front Weltmeister bar and mounts from Jason at Paragon....

and with the M030 bar on board, doing it's thing,

i doubt i'll ever put the Weltmeister bar on there.

cuz i'm definitely in a if-it-ain't-broken type of deal on a luscious street car.

A few years back, Porsche ran out of the original 968 M030 front sway bar. The original design was a hollow 30mm bar. Porsche contracted with H&R USA to make the new version of the bar and for whatever reason they built a 28.5mm solid bar. Same shape, same fitment and more than likely the same stiffness as the original 30mm bar. Selling bushings gets a bit more interesting for us now when the customer states they have a M030 front bar....would that be the new or old M030 bar?

Correct...and the operative word is had.

In other words, as Jason pointed out, the original 30mm 944 M637, aka 968 M030, bar is NLA.
