Went to class yesterday and ran some errands. Parked the car last night and when I went start the car before class a couple hours ago, It wouldn't fire up at all. The tach has no bounce when cranking, but how could it be the sensors already? They were just replaced last week!
Mind you, I didn't use Bosch sensors as they were too expensive at the time, I used the cheaper ones to test and see if they were the cause of the previous breakdown, and they were!
But to only last maybe 100 miles?? Unless something else could cause no tach bounce that I'm unaware of? I'll check for spark, and look at the connections after class. At least it happened in my driveway and not on the road like before...

It wasn't my sensors going bad on me. It had rained while I was working on the car earlier and the hood was up. When I tried starting it earlier, the ignition coil contacts must have been wet or something. And when I went to start it a little while ago, the points were corroded.

I've never seen a 944 that actually had this gasket installed, but there's a gasket you can put between the distributor and the cam tower to keep things dry.

Mine still has the gasket. It is a foam rubber with adhesive on one side. I was surprised a new one didn't come in my Reinz gasket kit, I guess I shouldn't have been.

I spent 6 hours detailing my car on Friday for Northern Wörthersee(NoWo) yesterday morning.
Scored 2nd place for best in Porsche class. Lost to a rally 911, but a win is a win!

Tried changing out the manual trans fluid today. The filler plug is stuck and I don't want to try removing the drain plug now. Not a hammer, torch, or penetrative could get it stuck.
What are my reasonable options?

What tools are you using? Put a breaker bar on it, that's what mine needed. Also make sure your 17mm tool isn't rounded on the shank edges or you'll round out the plug, ask me how I know.

I'm using a brand new 17mm hex socket I just bought today, a benzene torch, and PB Blaster. I don't have a breaker bar, unfortunately. The plugs look very corroded on the outside.

Do you have access to a welder? Find a bolt with a 17mm head, weld it into the plug, weld a nut on the threads of the bolt, and turn it out. The heat from welding will likely break the plug free. This is my go-to for removing stuck bolts, it has always done the trick. Just make sure you have a spare plug handy. Although I suppose you could re-use the welded plug if you had to.
Alternatively, a trip to Harbor Freight will net you a breaker bar for less than $20.
An impact wrench may be able to loosen the plug as well.
Whatever way you remove the plug, it's best to replace with a new one (they're pretty cheap, just a few bucks), use some anti-seize on the threads, and don't over-torque it when you reinstall. They get stuck easily!
