The pain, seperation, anxiety and worthlessness feeling of a ended relationship are all temporary- Time heals all wounds.

I think it's time for that healing process to begin. It took me damn near a year to get over an 18 year marriage- but I am better off. it took time, some days damn near unbearable- but peosonal peace does happen.

Geez- Dan, I feel for ya buddy!

I know several younger women (I worked in a HS, remember!!)and most of them wont even think "common sense" or "trustworthy" until they have reached their 30's.

yes, exceptions do exist but by and large that's my experience.

Go Fishing, but take time for yourself. dont put off the enevitable "greiving" period. Enjoy what you do for yourself.

Peace out.

I'm probably gonna get yelled at, but......

There is no gender that has a predisposition to be stupid. "Chics" ( ) can be stupid, but we have no corner on the market. I've met my share of dumba$$ guys! I was married for 14 years. My ex decided to enjoy another's bed and I forgave. Two years later I was going through it again, hence the "ex" moniker. Your buddy's gf is someone he should run away from as fast as possible. But to lump all women (no matter the age) into this one catagory is bigotry. I was 23 when I married. I never cheated. I never cheated when I dated. When I'm committed to a partner, I'm committed. End of story. I'm sorry that there are stupid people in the world, but they're not ALL women.

Michelle is right, I am admit that I am a true dumba$$. Most of my friends are dumba$$es, my kids will probably be dumba$$es too (hope not, but I hear it's hereditary) Never cheated, but did learn the hard way that some things aren't worth the effort. Don't look back, and enjoy the twisties!

Didn't you say you were distributing naked pics...

Ah, her 2nd toe is longer than her first. That has to be strike three, or at least strikes one and two... IMHO.

Geez man I haven't been on the dating seen for so long I feel so rusty. Today I went to visit a girl I knew freshman year and really didn't know how to win her over again like I did freshman year. LOL! Hows that saying go "practice makes perfect?" Oh well its been ruffly 4 years since I tried to really pick up anyone.

Keep the chin up Dan... sorry about Amy and you.

As far as Danno's advice and thoughts on the idea... well he's no Dr. Phil and let's just say I'm glad he's sticking to his day job ;-)

Damn, guys as always this list really helps a guy out. I broke up with my girl a couple weeks ago and it's been difficult, but just hearing a bunch of like minded guys some with problems worse than mine has really helped.

You fellas are the best.

btw. the turbo is running strong now and dammmmmmnnnnnnn I love boost.

"Today I went to visit a girl I knew freshman year and really didn't know how to win her over again like I did freshman year."

Remember you can't control people, or even life for that matter. You can just be yourself and offer yourself to the world at large. The connections will come to you, but you can't force it. Sure you can influence the outcome by what you have to offer and you can work on yourself to improve the numbers and quality of connections. Things like being fit vs. being a slob, choosing clothing that's stylish (not necessarily trendy or fashionable, and don't pick ugly). Learning effective communications and how to share your feelings and desires. All these determine the outcome, but you still can't control people. Why would you want to anyway? There's a lot of starving women out there, you just have to look like and be dessert!
