Default WTB solid transmission mount

Anyone have one? None of the usual vendors has any in stock.

You could make yourself a semi-solid mount for about $35 with the urethane mod.

I've been researching that and will probably give it a shot as a temporary solution if not a permanent one.

+1 for 3 years on a urethaned tranny, still solid as a rock.

I have recently performed the DIY urethane mount - I recommend this as it was inexpensive, satisfying to do myself and looks like it will last for years. The mentioned kit comes fast in the mail.
I have my transmission mount out right now - doing super bearings in the torque tube - if you want a picture of it just holler.

I did this modification 4 years ago on my track car and it had been holding up with no issues. I recommend it too.

I've tried both, prefer the urethane because it seems to hold up just as well and doesn't transmit that horrendous noise through the chassis. Damn our transmissions are loud!

Is that everything required to do an '84? I'm interested if so.

Yes the early cars just use those two mounts to the sides of trans and attach to the upper welded in crossmember.
