Oh really? Here's my latest project with 18's. Don't mind the rake, I still have to adjust my rear coilovers.

I think 18s fit the car very well.

Money shot...

I bet they would fit my car with the current aggressive stance I have...too bad i'm putting a clutch in it right now.

Here's the setup I was planning for my early offset NA (1985.5)

Euromeister Replicas

Front: 17 x 8, ET 10.6
Tires: 205-50-17

Rear: 17 x 9, ET 15
Tires: 255-40-17

Now here's the rub (pun intended). I have all the parts required to swap out the NA brakes for a turbo brake upgrade, hubs, spindles, rotors, calipers etc. Planning on swapping them out in the future once I rebuild the Brembos. Any anticipated interference / rubbing issues? Spacers etc?

I've run this through a few online offset calculators and the net result is that the 17x8 fronts will sit in 1mm closer on the inside and extend an additional 23mm out. The 17" rears will sit 5mm closer inside and an additional 21mm out. Obviously that's just the rim edges and do not account for the tire size.

Is there any fix for the wheels to fit on turbo calipers? It would be super cool to run these wheels.
