My Next Restoration Project 85.5
Kinda been keeping this under wraps until I knew the deal was a go. Its a go and I may get the car as early as this weekend. I've been wanting an 85.5 and up for some time and this one spoke to me as a major restoration effort. So what if it hasn't been on the road in 10 years. Its deserving of a restoration and I will learn a lot by bringing this car back from an inevitable doom. It speaks to me not only because its a 944, but because it has some nice options and the car is mostly unmolested. Until I get the car in my garage, I can only share pics from the guy I'm getting it from. I decided to trade him my 84 Corvette for the car. Here are some pics:

I like the fuchs wheels, I got those on mine when I bought it (new). Looks like pretty good shape - some minor plastic parts missing, and the lower part of the door panel (the pocket part)

Next on the agenda will be brakes, tires, and suspension work if need be.
I will also need a driver's side window and possibly a regulator as the window is missing all together and I will have no idea about the regulator until I get it in the garage in a few days.
Its also missing the driver's side door handle and the guy says the passenger side handle does not work.. So that means new door handles for sure and shortly thereafter, a new lock and ignition cylinder so that I have one key that will open the car.
Then, whatever doesn't work on the car, stereo, wipers, lighting, etc will also be addressed. Then its off to my dad's body shop for for body repairs and new paint.

Congrats! Looks like a real solid car.
Both of my 944's sat without running for 7+ years, one with a full tank of gas, the other empty. I strongly recommend putting an aftermarket filter ahead of the fuel pump, Summit sells Mr Gasket filters with 1/2" connections. I blew a new pump when sand came thru the stock outlet fitting, despite flushing the tank. I also had to manually pulse the injectors while running the pump to free them up.

Good advice! I have considered replacing the gas tank but I won't know more until after Friday. I plan on going to get the car Friday evening. First thing for fuel system cleaning will be to send the injectors to witchhunter and have them cleaned and flow tested. I will also order all new filters.
I will continue to update this thread with plenty of pics of the restoration progress.

That sounds good. I'm sure there will be quite a few things I need.
