Great to see your detailed progress on restoring another 944. Especially, putting one back on the road after its been sitting for 10 years.
Keep up the good work!

Thank you!! I really enjoy these cars and I hate to see them parted if they are not wrecked or rusty. This one called to me...sounds weird, I know, but it was sitting there looking at me and I just had to buy it and bring it back to life.

Hahaha, you may have. We went through Columbus in the early morning. I'll see if I can post pics from the trip back up.

It was a wild trip, that's for sure. And it must have been a sight to see going down the road..what with a tarp hanging off of it and all, lol. It started raining when we were loading the car so I did what I had to do to keep the interior dry. I got the car missing a driver's side window. Here are a couple trip pics:

Hey, I have a few doors, header panels, used but good SLOTTED front rotors, hatch/hood struts, and small interior parts if you are interested. If you recall, I sold you the script seats for your grey car when we met at PepBoys here in Pittsburgh. If you need anything shoot me a PM.

I remember meeting there. I actually am still using those script seats! They still look great! I will be in contact for parts. I'm restoring two 944's right now and there's always something that I need, lol.

Got the car in the garage today and replaced the front bumper shock that was caved in and fixed and re installed the right front bumper pad. Also sealed the hatch, installed the door pockets and speaker grills. Took my wife for a ride in the car tonight and she said she really like it and was impressed by the comfort of the seats. Today was a win!
Bumper removed and new shock installed:
Bumper pad repaired by installing a new "stud":

Been driving the car daily and its been running well. The new tires made a world of difference. Even with bad shocks and struts, it still corners well and has a great ride.

In the condition that I bought the car in, it was destined to be a parts car or headed to the bone yard. I couldn't let that happen to this car.

The car has been running and driving well and has been my daily driver for the last month. Issues that I need to address still are:
-fuel gauge inop
-engine coolant temp gauge erratic
-original Koni shocks and struts need rebuilt
-paint
-front of engine service
-left side sunroof catch
Here are a couple updated pics of the car:
Finally fixed the carpet:

Fighting a couple coolant leaks currently. It seems to only leak when its sitting after the engine is warm and not running. That or I don't notice it until then.
