Default Need Strut gland nut doh!

I was dismantling set of struts today and somehow lost a gland nut! After spending 4 hours searching for it like a crack addict knowing how hard they are to come by, I've determined it vanished into thin air or was taken by aliens while I wasnt looking. I've never been so baffled in my life. Anywho, I am now in need of said nut. If nobody has one, does anybody know where I can get one or if I can use an m50x1.5 female threaded ER40 type collar like this?
ER 40 Nut M Type M50x1.5 - Amazon.com ER 40 Nut M Type M50x1.5 - Amazon.com

I'm pretty pissed at myself that I can't find it and short of buying a whole new strut I really don't know where I would get one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They also have a 924S, are the brake lines the same? If so I was going to head down there and snap it up for you.

I would think so. I'd get the one off the '85, or compare them and if they are the same get the nicer one. Also, could you grab me 2 cv triple square bolts? Thanks man, I appreciate it. Good lookin out!

Still haven't found the gland nut?

The part I need is VW part #823 412 047, which is for pretty much any mid 80's water cooled VW. If anybody gets a line on a direct way to buy these, let me know.

Porschedoc, thats exactly what I need, although I do have one on the way now courtesy of The Samba. It looks a little different than those, its a NOS item still in the dealers packaging and is for an 84(?) mk 1 cabrio. 50x1.5 so should fit.
