Default New Short Shifter for the 944

Has anyone bought the new short shifter from only944.com? It looks like a solid piece.

I only recently heard of Kyle and his site. He has some cool stuff, and I just bought a shift boot and the hatch pin seats from him. I'll get the short shifter next, it looks well made.

I picked up the shifter upgrade kit (not the short shifter) and WOW does it make a big difference. Great guy to deal with too!

Default short shifter

I bought hatch seats from him in the past and his engineering is top shelf. I didn't hesitate when I got his email. The short shifter was shipped the next day. Can't wait to install it. I've been waiting for a "reliable" unit to be produced and this definitely looks like it.

Looks to be a really nice product and I like the choice between stock side to side, or 30% reduction. I may just pick one of these at some point.

Just received the unit and the instructions are on his website. Solid engineering and maintainable, too. Can't wait to get it installed. Wife made it a birthday present to me. Last Christmas she got me a Momo Race steering wheel. She really understands my priorities.

Man this looks great - from what i can tell, there's no issue with me using a Lindsey short shift lever (which I already have installed) AND this, right?

With the reduction in shift lever movement from the Lindsey, combined with a 30% reduction in throw with this one, you may get way too much reduction of throw and may cause real shift problems. I wouldn't recommend it.

I went ahead and ordered one anyways. Ultimately, if it's "too short" with the Lindsey lever, I'll just switch to stock or the upgraded one he sells. I've found the Lindsey shifter is more a bandaid type solution to the shifter - fixes some issues, but doesn't do it quite right. I feel like these options will get things fixed correctly.
