Default 8 years standing

Discovered this sad looking 1986/2.5 coupe at a property I was working at. The wife of the owner said it has been standng for eight years the interior is in great shape paint work dull with rust spots and green mould she asked if I wanted it but as there is no such thing as a cheap older Porsche I wiped away a tear for it and ran as fast as I could.

"that was just a bad joke. i'm sorry.... awful... it's a miserable day.... and that was just some kind of totally-sick, joke defense-mechanism which truly doesn't indicate any of my feelings — not one — but just shows the kind of stress we're under and what this represents for all of us...."

I just bought one that was sitting since 2007, and it's running now. Of course, sitting in TX is different than sitting in the UK. Mine just got burnt to a crisp.

Texas, California, not exactly hard on cars.

one year sitting in Mass is the same as 137 years in Calif_ckingfornia.

Maybe I got lucky, but I dove in headfirst on one that had sat for ten years with no regrets... https://rennlist.com/rennforums/show...my+saga+begins

Looks like something I'd buy for more than it's worth, put a ton of cash in it, and sell it for less than it's worth. It's happened before
