Removing just the tub

Removing just the tub
Hey guys,
I front-ended (is that a thing?) my 85 N/A in February and I guess the frame got bent. I bought a 951S and I kept the N/A, since the engine and the trans were all good. It was my first car and I crashed it on the first day it snowed about a week after I had my trans rebuilt by midwest eurosport and about 3 weeks after I had my clutch replaced. It was a sad day to say the least. Anyways it's summer now and the weather's good enough to take it apart. Is there a way to remove the tub? Like this: (I know this isn't a 944, but you get the idea?) I saw a picture of a 944 with the tub removed once and I want to do that too. I have a forklift, if that helps at all. I did some searching but I couldn't find any threads like this so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

You can drop the entire engine, torque tube, transaxle and front suspension as one unit. You must remove the rear suspension completely first. IIRC, it's only ~20 bolts to remove the entire driveline. It's incredibly easy to do on a lift (about 4 hours) but if you're doing it in a driveway it'll take quite a bit longer. It's absolutely doable though. Where are you located?

4 bolts for the castor blocks
4 bolts for the crossmember
4 bolts for the torque tube crossmember
2 bolts for the transaxle
You'll need to fish the DME harness out of the body and remove the ground connection from the bellhousing and disconnect the slave cylinder and brake calipers but that's really about it.
Like I said, you'll have to remove the rear suspension first but that's how I've done it multiple times. Not rocket surgery.

It is fairly simple job, but I had problems with turbo since the tub was not straight.

There are 4 main bolts for the engine bridge and 6 or 8 at the back. The rest is few wires, hoses and such.
I imagine it would be far easier with proper car lift.

Bottom two sets on the left are main bolts that hold drivetrain to tub.
