Who Waves?
Since I got my 85.5 944na I always assumed all Porsche drivers waved to each other (as Motor Cycle riders do) and as I waved no one waved back (insert Wife's snicker here), well yesterday as I am getting on the highway I see a 968 in my rear view mirror (Green, Norwalk, CT) we both got on it till we saw the Cop, slowed down and as he latter pasted me he not only beeped the horn but gave us a wave and smile, which I returned. I will continue to wave to all and stop for any broken down (2 so far). Maybe it is just the type of drivers in a 944 type car that feels a closer brotherhood than others?

usually you don't get a wave from the guy who bought the 911 to drive to work, but from the people who bought them to have fun with them. Waterboys are a breed all their own, we all sympathize with the struggles of keeping these cars going.

Half the watercooled cars will wave, the other half don't. Usually the ones that wave are enthusiasts themselves and there cars are very nice or in the process of getting to be nice. The other half, well those are the $1000 parts cars in a few years.

I usually flip the headlights up at them. I have gotten waves from 944's, 993's, 911's, even 997tt's and a GT3RS.
The only people that dont wave back are Cayenne drivers and women.

Where I live on vancouver island 99% of p cars wave, the only ones I have had that don't wave are Asian. I even get non p cars waving and pedestrians.... Maybe it's a Canadian thing

There are a few 944's in my city. We always beep the quirky little horn at each other but I haven't waved. I drive a Mazda3 also and I see at least one other MZ3 everyday and have only gotten waved at once or twice. 944 is a brotherhood
