Default 88 924s + 84 944 parting 2 the Bones

I have a 88 924s as well as a 84 944 ( the 84 just landed) so its all there Shipping Fedex or USPS at cost. Rust Free cars out of North Carolina.

Just checked and the 84 944 does have the following options in it.
M456 - FRONT SWAY BAR 23.5 MM / REAR 14 MM - FRONT/REAR SPORT SHOCKS
M220 - LOCKING DIFF 40%

TAKING THEM BOTH DOWN TO THE BONES - THE blue 88 924S DOES HAVE A SIGNED NOTARIZED TITLE(open) IF SOMEONE WANTS A CHASSIS BEFORE WE CUT ON IT.
PAST EXAMPLES:
YOU CAN FIND ME ON 3BAY--wandrey1...wandrey0...wandrey00...wandrey01

How much would you be looking to get for the 924 chassis?
Would prefer if it still had doors and glass.

And I am local in NC.

Default 924S chasis was a turbo car

Probably better to PM and talk I sell all of it off . The FT and RR susp is about gone. Door glass sold, trans and fuel tank may be sold to 924board member. ( all that being said the 84 944 parts are there so I could sell of those and leave /move some parts back) The car has a turbo engine that had a thunderbird/musting turbo on it. Head gasket blew and owner didn't get it back together right. The timing slipped on tensioning cam tower. He caught it late & tensioned tower out of time. and slightly bent valve. Head SB good just needs a valve I have the spare head + one with 4 valves and it has turbo pistons The head was noted to have been flowed. Just threw that enging info out thers seeing your 924 gts post. I could pull the head first before i pull the engine.

I have the hood and a FT valance CTR panel, the lower pnl under bumper is shot. There has been some handy work done, as someone tried to fit the inner cooer and hard lines up front- I could cut up the 84 944 FT under metal some if you wanted to replace any bent broken metal from those inner cooler mods.

Default last "chassis" 87 944

Ian when you say you want a chassis i think of something lile this sale. Sold $500 to a racer that busted up his car and wanted to move his parts over. This is with signed notarized title. I can work with you leave the wiring harness, steering column pedals ? LMK I have an excel doc that breaks down all the parts and prices from past sales. I don't normally share it with everyone...

Actually just playing wiith photobucket tools . The 84 944 side photo was sellers image from pre purchase. Seller had a variety of non P cars in background, better blurred . After that, the 924s in driveway as received (I try and snap at least some images before it all comes apart) . Kids bikes and open garage in background not bad but heck playing with the new tool... I normally shoot cleaner and pay attention to my comp and background but wanted to get the thread started.

do you have any more pictures of the turbo setup on the 924S? I don't think I've ever seen a turbo like that before

Thanks!

Sure, I have I sold the exhaust manifolds larger, MAF, injectors, additional injector with psi sw, intake relief valve inner cooler and tubing. Now just with the turbo from that set up (and the turbo long block etc.) . Documented the fit up before it was pulled for my buyer. Also photographed the parts after removal. The Turbo is a Borg Warner/IHI.

It runs with a shot of fuel in the intake. I'm not sure if I want to chase down all its demons. I normally test all I can before taking it down. Items that don't function get bench tested after pulling to elininate wiring issues etc. Car has no keys or title ignition was drilled to unlock steering.

Default 88 924S turbo engine parting plan.

88 924s turbo short block

My thoughts were to pull and sell:

$15 intake manifold with throttle body
$10 tps
$20 twin exhaust manifolds
$15 engine mounting brackets
$30 engine mounts
$65 cam tower with cam and buckets
$85 ea head (have 2) + one with 4 valves
$15 Bellhousing
$15 clutch fork
$50 Flywheel & clutch
$35 timing sprockets/tensioners
$30 timing cover FT and RR
$10 front pulley
$65 oil pan
$45 oil cooler with housing
$20 oil filler with cap
$30 water pump
$30 oil pump
$15 counterbalance shafts and covers
$225 spinning short block

This pricing is based on past sales
listing it all on one or more of my 4 ebay accounts but accepting offers.
I think the spinning short block should be near or less than the weight of a 5 speed and I have shipped a few of those fedex ground.

Fog lights look good - You only want the lenses ? I normally sell the complete light. LT and RT.
The Speedo and cluster gauge has teh yellow markings is that what you wer needing?
I already sold all the while marked gauges and Dash off the 924s .

Yea my baby 81 gas engine. I have a nice GTI engine and long ratio 5 speed to drop in it along with nice dash and door panels... so Yea these 9244s are a little distracting for her progress.
