what are you planning to do with your car this year (or next)?

Pff.. What to do this year.. Well here is the list:
Finish rear axle, removed it, not sandblasting and powdercoating. Fitting S2 torsion axles inside.
Replace fuel lines from from to back in one piece out of SS.
Replace brake calipers for Turbo or S2 ones.
Weld in semi-removable rollcage.
Redo original seats.
Buy Sparco seats and belts for circuit
Find nice set of 17"rims (thinking about Cup3's)
Buy a 15" set with Toyo Proxes R888 for trackdays
Put in a KDFI 1.3 (runs on Megasquirt 2)
And hopefully, if I have enough money, buy a 968 engine. Install it, and if there is any more money, make a full SS 3" exhaust system.
Sell current engine block with the MSDS headers and complete SS 2.5" exhaust with V-Band Flanges, just before middle muffler and just before end muffler.
Paintjob has been done, lowering suspension front and rear has been done. Already got the fat swaybars.. I think after this year i'm ready

^^^what mine will look like, in ten years!
but this year, do some simple body work I should have done last year, refinish a set of 16" phone dial that I should have done last year also.
The rest depends on the wallet situation.

Bad form Odurandina. Bad **** happens to people all the time, and I don't mind laughing at it. Watching people die is not cool.
Yes I watched it, yes I saw your warning. I assumed you where talking about the car not the people.
I guess I assumed that one of the regs on here would have enough class not to post something like that.

at the time when i made this thread, i created it to specifically include (and encourage the posters to share) a very wide range of topics where there had been no levity on the forum (before)..... and for the guys to share stuff within the community more specific to 944 owners (friends) and also for the guys who don't necesarily have RLOT priviledges... for a way to
1. communicate almost (at random or not) about what you were planning to do with your cars this year or "whenever..."
2. and for people to feel free to temporarily go "off topic" about anything they wish to communicate about... with the understanding that there was still going to be a core topic going on as the major theme of the thread....
3. to occasionally alert the 944 members (friends) about any particular threads that had "gone epic...." on any of the other forums.
as far as posting something like this, it's not something that i commonly do, but i have a thread with just that type of levity. to communicate with people i would like to consider my friends..... there's another reason why i may post a video about unusual types of crashes... there is a motive behind it.... and i know that i might take some crap about it..... but i think it's another way for us to see just what can happen out there (and if it might make more of the young people think), i'm happy about it.
so call me an ******* if you wish but i also lost my fiance to an automobile accident when i was in college. it's the most horrible thing that's ever happened to me. so believe, me, i know personal loss..... i didn't post this for the shock value, or for fun, or to disrespect the dead.
and 1 more thing.
the 944/944T/968 forums often seem less receptive to temporarily going off topic than the other forums...
off topic stuff appears on the 911, 993 and 928 forums all the time.... when stuff gets out of control, occasionally the mods will move threads to Rennlist Off Topic (RLOT).
i've also mentioned this thread to the big kahuna of Rennlist Bob Rouleau, with whom i've also had the pleasure of speaking with at length on the phone in recent days, including sharing some ideas, and also to get a few general clarifications, and also to talk about some of my extremely controversial threads on the P&C forum..... i've never had a thread sent to the abyss.
we have plenty of **** around here. but once again, to repeat, the video came with the warning/disclaimer. it's also being discussed at length here on RLOT;
https://rennlist.com/forums/off-topi...ever-seen.html
hope this was helpful.
regards,
od.

this weekend will be the last days of pop-up headlights on my 968.... i will begin to hybridize the fenders on monday. that is to say i'm welding in the front sections of two 993 fenders (w/ cradles) onto the 968 fenders in order run the large 993 Xenon fixtures. i'm running 35 watt/6,000 K phillips lamps... to be honest, i'm pretty excited !
