From: one thousand, five hundred miles north of Ft. Lauderdale for the summer.
what are you planning to do with your car this year (or next)?
i was thinking about a general thread about our unrealized car plans. maybe tell us what you'd like to do or are planning to do with your car. all topics including going wayyyyy off topic, etc—welcome....
i'm hoping to finish (including paint to match) on my new front bumper project. i'll return full-time to finishing it in about 2 weeks..... i want to complete chevy swap late summer/early fall..... i want to install 993 hid headlamps (the hid lamp structure is fairly large, making this not an easy 'one' for someone with almost no autobody experience).... i'd like to paint the car with a new color. colors i like; Chevrolet; Jetstream Blue, Lamborghini/Chevrolet; Monterrey Blue, BMW; Boston Green, Porsche; Aventurine Green, Amazon Green, Cobalt Blue..... next year, maybe return to the interior with some leather work.
anyway, i wanna hear your stories, anything that you feel like talking about,
any unusual cars/wrecks on craigslist, ebay, etc.... post 'em.
if you care to contribute, please keep it friendly or kindly stay out.

get it back on the road, paint it, and finally, finally, get the supercharger running. in that order.
also, weight savings stuff...
- make fg hood (maybe to do before paint...)
- remove unnecessary bits and bolts etc
- custom ac bracket w/ relocated, smaller alternator
- maybe start on an aluminum torque tube project ala mr. 95ONE
- kokeln-esque rear suspension + coilovers (more of a pipedream but it could be done...)
- perhaps a custom SS exhaust...

As a (minor) project, my 944 is done and the money will be spent elsewhere. Unless, of course, I trip over a steal on a complete euro front bumper. I'd also love to get a 931 nose panel but I don't ever see that happening. Otherwise, it's just maintenance stuff.

Before driving to Rennsport reunion, finish building the new engine, new turbo and MAF.
Possibly before driving to Rennsport reunion, install 968 handles, mirrors and hatch, repaint the whole car.

repaint, redo interior, new suspension, wheels and sticky tires, and sort out my trans issue
all this before next march when i'll be taking the car to texas with my friend (who has a blown 2010 camaro he just finished building) for the huge supra meet...looking forward to being the slowest down the quarter mile!
oh and i'm planning on doing an ls1 pcm/ignition swap onto the lt1 motor to make it more easily tuned, and when i'm in texas the same guy (from hennessey!) that tuned my friends camaro will hopefully tune my motor

Purchased my car late in the Winter...So far fixed the hatch cover...replaced the hatch with a proper 944 hatch (car had a 924 hatch) fixed the clock..Waiting for seat and dash covers to come in...that will be it for the year I think...Next summer..fix the nicks and dents and possably redo the wheels..Then if nothing goes wrong keep enjoying driving my 951!
