I explained what happened and why more than ever that I cannot get a 944 right now in a PM to you; but what I forgot to add was that I'm actually making half of the payments on the ST right now. So it's not like I just got it all ***** nilly for free. I'm paying for it too; split it with my dad 50/50

I previously stated that my first goal was to get a more reliable DD to replace my Astra, then I would worry about getting a 944. Now that I have a new DD I can continue learn more and when I'm ready to go out and buy my own, I will.

Hey Karl! My close friend just bought a '14 ST! I can't wait to get a ride in it when I get home for spring break. He says it's a ton of fun.

My friend's is tuxedo black with matte black racing stripes, ST3 package, all options except moonroof

Mine is an ST1 package in performance blue. Wish I could've gotten the Recaros, but I'm very happy with the ST. I think you'll enjoy the ride. Ask if you can drive it! Steering is great, clutch is light and the acceleration is fantastic!

imo, the tail and nose will require some styling changes/refinement....

but what this thing delivers for under 80 grand..... is amazing,
and the people building and driving these cars [the world over] are raving.

OD made this thread to be an ongoing chatroom that doesn't have to be on a certain topic

anyway, i wanna hear your stories, anything that you feel like talking about,
any unusual cars/wrecks on craigslist, ebay, etc.... post 'em.
Here's my friend's

I've been good, super busy with school this semester. Just took the 944 out to Wal-Mart, hadn't driven her in a week. Had some spirited fun

AS for the original thread topic, this spring break I plan on:

-FINALLY FIXING MY A/C!!!
-Completing my HID projector headlight retrofit, can't wait

If I knock those things out quick, I may be able to squeeze in a couple other projects before going back to school. Oh, I might spend some time with friends over break too

Karl, glad to see you still have in interest in the 944!

Addressing the point of the thread, because I don't think I've posted on it yet...
- NA-Tune as soon as the tax return comes
- Reupholster my dash
- Reupholster these sport seats I've had sitting around
- VDO voltmeter

... and it'll be the sweetest NA ever

There is a fantastic picture that always circulates during Valentines day with a guy hugging his Porsche!

Right now 250lb Bilsteins, but will be installing coilovers eventually. It already feels great, so I'm not in a huge rush.

I'm now becoming more sympathetic to those who've opined over the years
with suggestions akin to the following;

"(od), you should just get a Vette."

you don't know the half of it,

at this stage, the best 944/968 might be a 2014 Corvette.

and the best cheap/(contemporary) Porsche, a V8 Cayman.
