1987 Porsche 944S 16-valve convertible, 99k - $6000 (Nashville)


2nd Owner (since 1997),yellow, one of a kind custom convertible, 5-speed, great 200 hp car, 25-30 mpg, maintained by 944 expert Todd Patterson, recent work includes: windshield w/ antenna, brake pads, battery, (2010); timing belt, tensioner pads, climate controls (2009), 02 sensor, distributer, starter, fuel reg., water pump (2007), upgraded clutch, torsion tube, convertible top (German cloth) (2006) much more. Goodyear Eagle GT with less than 10,000 miles

No affiliation, but it's close to me if anyone wants me to check it out.

Cool. Not something you see everyday (well not for me, but others). Not a fan of the colour, but it looks like a pro installation. I see lots of similarities to mine.

i guess 190 hp is close enough to 200...

pretty neat though, if i was in the market for a cab this would probably be it if its in decent shape!

Well he does have a K&N filter and a performance chip, so I guess he isn't far off the mark. Gotta post that 200 if you can when selling a car! I'd settle for the 190 in mine!

the 200hp I believe. the 25-30mpg is a total crock. i get 21 all day, every day.

me too! ive gotten the same mpg from my NA, turbo and the 968: 21!

Really looking forward to seeing your car in person on the 30th. I find the conversion cabs really cool!

gorgeous car. Petty got to be running one horny setup. if i drive slow and no trucks, maybe 27, 28. driving faster, it falls off quick. depending on the mood (and how close i get to the backs of the faster 18 wheelers), it can go as high as 33 or 34 mpg.

You gotta love the draft. I used to do it in an old '72 vw bus I had when younger. Never realized how dangerous it was (I was INVINCEABLE) lol

Yup

For about a year I had a 60+ minute commute to work with my 944S. 75mph, set the cruise control. I was averaging 30-32mpg.
