.....and truth be told the first Porsche in my family was my second cousin's red 924. She was smokin' hot in that thing.

....and here is Spencer getting a ride in a real Porsche:

And the poor OP just wanted some facts about the 931....
Look to certain people the 924 body style looks better to them than the 944 body styles. It's a matter of opinion, not FACT. Yes I love the looks of the turbo bodied 944 with the right wheels, but to me a stock 944 N/A is not so much of an attractive vehicle. We can all nit pick about what we dislike on certain cars. The 968 even has it fugly points; but it's just our personal opinions. In the end that's all we care about anyway.

Me too. That car is very nice looking.

But PETTYBIRD can you tell us more about those wheels? Never seen the valve stem come through the spoke as it appears to do so on yours.

Those are "Flatdish" or most comonly known as "man hole cover" they are still available in 16" X 6-7-& 8 . it's was mainly a 928 wheel.

Ernie,

Those aren't the exact wheels that he's asking about. In your picture, the valve stem is located in the "slot" at the bottom of the wheel but if you look at Pettybird's pictures (I think the more profile one is better) you'll see that the valve stem is actually in a recess in one of the spokes.

+1 now I see the valve stem hole it's at the rear upper part of the wheel, but lol still can't see the valve stem coming out of it. Did Porsche had two version of the flat dish?

The so-called Gullydeckel (German for "manhole cover") wheels were forged alloy wheels made by Fuchs.

The 6x16ET53 configuration was available for the 931 and had part number 477.601.026.D. There is also a 6x16 version of the wheel with 944.362.113.00 part number, although it is not listed in PET.

The 7x16ET52.3 configuration was available for the 944 and had part numbers 944.362.115.00/01 (00 suffix = silver metallic finish, 01 suffix = platinum finish). There was also (apparently) an earlier 928 part number for the 7x16 (928.361.021.05) that was superseded to this part number at some point.

The 16x8ET52.3 configuration was available for the 944 and had part numbers 928.362.117.00/01 (same finishes as above).

The introduction of this wheel in 1980 specifically for the 931 (as evidenced by the 477 part number) makes the statement "it was mostly a 928 wheel" a bit of a misnomer Although I don't have the 928 PET with me at the moment to verify when it was first offered on the 928...

Pettybird, it would be really interesting to see what part number is on your wheels. The 931-specific 6" wheels I am familiar with have the valve stem in one of the slotted windows, unlike what's in your photos:
