question, i just tried to replace my starter ('87 924S). the pas ttwo starters were the smaller turbo style, and the new one autozone gave me was the old big style, and i couldnt get it to go on...plus it seems that in the reman. process, they put new threads in the mounting hole, so my bolt wouldnt fit. anyway, already ordered a new one from travis.

But has anyone else had trouble fitting the big starters? it said bosch... but i was told it was duralast

The turbo starter has longer motor bolts to attach the turbo exhaust pumping heat shields. Would not make any difference turbo to na.
