original post:

Jeff from the 968 registry found this one...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...fCarsQ5fTrucks

"...will need a wire harness before you can drive it. The previous owner told me the top was slashed by a thief that took some items from the inside. It rained and the interior got wet for 2 days. It ruined some interior electronics.

"This 968 has been garaged for the last 8 years that I have owned it - and likely for it's entire life.

"I will guarantee that the engine and transmission are running well."

let's see... it was wet for 2 days—what—8 years ago ? running well ? the engine hasn't run in 8 years, dumbass !

what's up with the dented fender (near passenger side headlight), misaligned hood, nasty rocker panel, 944 wheels and the petrified "sharded" top ?..... interior is destroyed... garaged ? that's a hot one !.... w/ the various shades of faded Guards Red paint, tattered weather stripping and crusty, oxidized engine bay, the car looks more like it spent 8 years abandoned in the Judean desert, downwind from the dead sea.

seems more like a parts car worth maybe 15~18 hundred dollars at most. opening bid already seems high. sad.

You find me a nearly complete 968 cab parts car for sale in the midwest for 'a few hundred dollars' and I'll give you a $1K finders fee...

Where was this when I started my swap. It needs a 6.2L and some wax. Maybe get TPC to do a removable hard top.

If the engine is good it will be worth the starting price. If the engine is shot then it is too much. Who feels lucky?
