Current 948 owner FYI .......No joke, I was driving to work this morning, stopped at a light and looked down at the tach cause I thought the engine had quit.....The V8 idles that smooth.....lit the tires up from a dead idle and fish-tailed into the parking lot ...LOL

So what does that make you a Hero,I would'nt have any proplem doing the same fish tail that you did with half your cylinders but of course maturity come with age.

No, just commenting that the heavy 968 convertble needs more power and that specific one even more so since the engine is probably toast. I drove one a few years back......Low-T compared to a 948 LOL

**** On cabriolet models, the car's curb weight comes in at 3,240 pounds with a manual transmission, and 3,306 pounds with an automatic transmission****

Nice car but priced at the very top of the market. You can get an early 996 convertible for what they're asking for the 968. I know it's 2 different cars but.......

I don't think that ebay ad is as bad as you all think. The hood is misaligned, but most of the other panel problems appear to be caused by a lousy program "shrinking" the image sizes. The side skirts are coming off a little but that can be a problem for any car that has had too much sun time.

I'd look at it in person before deciding it was really in that bad of shape. A little effort into this car would go a long way, especially considering how much he's asking.

the 968 interior is 100x better than the ford focus interior they borrowed for the 996.

i think even the best 968 interiors (perfect example, that Iris Blue LSD) still look very "kit car" to me.

i think the 996 interior has a superior modern "shape" that all our cars lack. just sayin.

Looks like the car is worth $3000 at this moment and still going up. Guess some people do not know 968's as well as they think. I sure would have loved to have got the car for $2500 and doubled my money by parting it out.
