Hey, nothing wrong with Playstation!

Seriously though, this kid is a moron. Sure, I'll admit, I didn't exactly get happy when I saw the "VW/AUDI" stamped on my turn signal switch, but it didn't bother me. It's not a performance piece, it peformed it's function faithfully for 20 years now, and is probably a cheap replacement. Do I really even care if the suspension is VW-derived if it's still one of the best handling cars (stock) out there? The thought doesn't even cross my mind

If someone is so insecure that they actually would care about something like that, then they need help. Sure, part of owning these cars is owning a Porsche, one of, if not the, finest makes of automobiles. But there's more to it than that. It's getting an amazing car for such a little price. A car whose looks were so ahead of their time that many people mistake for a mid-90's car, out handles everything else at my school, has decent power, is fun to drive, reasonable to maintain, and worth all my money

Ok, now I'm irritated that my McLaren F1 has rear lights from a truck. And the darn thing leaks oil too. And it's gas mileage is terrible. Plus, it's really hard to get in and out of. I just decided I'll sell it for $750,000.00. I know I'll be taking a beating but like JJK says, I hate selling used cars.

McLaren F1 (for sale)
1973 Brown Corvette Automatic w/ killer stock 350 cu. in V8, original rubber, 8 track hi-fi stereo system (aftermarket), Rare Production #5628 of 11,256 (exactly 1/2 way through production!!!), most numbers match, Ziebart and Rusty Jones on all body panels, 1973 AAA sticker still intact, all delivery paperwork including paper floor mats, only occasionally smoked in.

you know i'm bored when i reply to the idiots last comment but:

My wrench has an 87 corvette with 25k,in the family since new....

I askhim to use the car for a few days when I drop it off for maintenance just to make sure im not missing any wrong sounds. He is very very impressed with the 944's performance. He said something about a better all around car than his vette, except when it comes to O rings.

He plans on taking a picture of the red vette convert, guards red S2 and his guards red 63 ford custom pickup while my S2 vacations at his house this week. I will try to borrow a digital camera and show up in my solar red firebird covert for the photo shoot

The R&T comment is a flat out lie:

IIRC, the '82/'83 944 reviews put it ahead of the the 'vette as well (and these were the NA's...) looking for that article now

Sorry, Don't have that issue, then again the 944 turbo wasn't out yet and at press time (several months earlier) I doubt there would have been a pre-production test car. Why don't we go with the test results from the Jan. '86 issue of r/t for the 944 turbo. Top speed: 155. The Feb. '86 issue does support your 154 mph claim for the plastimobile, doesn't it feel great to be #2! Make that #3. Back in the mid-'80s I had a slightly modified '80 VW Scirocco, My friends and I used to go out looking for brand new vets at stop lights, just so we could laugh at them at the next light when they caught up. Never had one come close. If your looking for an oil leak though, try looking in my boat. That 454 has been out and resealed 3 times in the last 5 years and it's still leaking.

Hmmmmm... that Vette betting Porsche theory doesn't hold water for '89 either. The more this guy jabs, the higher the $*%$ gets. My socks are soak'd.

Vette's have come a long way recently. I personally like all sports cars, some more than other. I love my car.

Looking forward too your next plethera of wisdom...

Ya know, if JJK said the Vette thing in the 928 Forum. He'd be dead. They would cut him up and smoke his funky vette ***. Actually I think he's more of a riceboy thats talkin sh*t than a Porsche or Muscle car owner.

Can I beat his ***?? I promise I will make him cry when I blast him with the 928 S4

He's from San Jose. That's east of Santa Cruz and just south of San Francisco. Not LA LA Land. Kind of the red neck area for Frisco. Everything else is Moonbeam Jerrys.

Hmm, So you own a VW 944 not a porsche? Darn... And you thought you had found a way to compensate for your small member. Now you have to go buy a vette that leaks just as much oil because you don't know how to inspect a car before hand. So what if a 944 is a VW. How many 40 year old american cars do you see on the road compared to the number of VWs? My REALLY low tech pushrod 1962 VW is allot cheaper to maintain than any vette on the road and it WILL blow the doors off of any $6-7k range vette at the christmass tree. Not that you'll get the point, I'm just typing this for my own satisfaction.

C'mon people, this guy is just fishing for attention. Just like an annoying TV ad, makes you remember the product and generates lots of interest. Good marketing gimmick.

After all, if he thought they were such POS's then why would he own 3 of them?
