Biggs Field?

a bit closer, the stretch of I-10 between 290 and Junction [west bound in the wee hours] might be a nice spot for a 190mph pass.

Any real chance for us to actually, legally use it for a bit? I'm dying to do a 1 mile+ standing start. I'd drive down there in a heartbeat for the chance and I know the rest of the central texas crew would too.

There is a certain red, V8 swapped car that I have a score to settle with.

Let's have a party in El Paso lol! Can this runway thing actually happen? I'm only about an hour from there.

...and I'll be sitting there in my ever-reliable NA working the camera, because I would be lucky to see 145mph after 5 minutes of building speed.

Not Biggs. That is military and really off limits.

I was referring to Dona ana international airport. Runway length 9550 feet 100 width. I fly out of there. It isn't terribly busy. also has a full length taxiway for return trips and fire and rescue on duty.

I am actually active duty and will be out of town until Christmas time. If you dudes are serious about it I can talk to the airport manager and see if it is feasible. Maybe set it up for winter or spring.

Funny thing though they also do parachute out there. $50 a jump for static line. First jump requires a class which is $150 (including first jump) then each after is $50. We could make it a top speed day with cars a chutes.

that sounds amazing....

maybe we could try a significantly-scaled-down version of this.

....and I'm told the 388 c.i. can of whoopass is just a few days away from startup.

all that remains is the od exhaust and an almost totally brand new sachs clutch.....

for anyone looking for the totally ultimate 4 cylinder sound and h.o.

it will actually improve the way people perceive your ride, heighten your reputation, sound amazing when you drive and make you feel better about yourself....

so make your move.... shoot me a pm;

we'll get the exhaust heading your way on a truck and help make your future a better one.

My od style exhaust has started rattling all over Hopefully the muffler shop that installed will fix it for free when I take it down there (been 1+ years since install)

it's definitely not your resonator.

did you put in a magnaflow? they're extremely well made.

my first muffler (Hooker Maxflow) started rattling after I bottomed it on a Boston pothole.

It actually WAS my resonator. One of the welds literally split along the whole circumference and basically disconnected my exhaust. Had to go to every shop in town, and the last one I went to was willing to work on my car (all the other muffler shops refuse to touch it, they're scared of federal law because I'm catless).

I found threads on corvette forums of those SLP loudmouths failing in the same way.

Got a straight pipe welded in, I'm now running straight 2.5" back to the small free flow muffler. It's not much louder, and it sounds the same under normal driving. When I gun it at 4k+ rpm, it has the most insane mean sound, like a swarm of 10000 bees. It's much more raspy but I don't mind. There's no drone or anything, and it sounds a bit growlier in general. Sounds better at idle too.

Ok I honestly don't think I can keep my sanity another year without finding a wicked sounding exhaust setup for my s2 cab. Broadfoot racing looked promising but don't feel like it would be loud enough. I want throaty/aggressive but also want it fairly loud. Since car is exempt from state emissions, don't need cats. There's a video clip of an s2 in tasmania run which sounds awesome. Not sure what setup it has or if it has an engine swap.

Probably best to shoot email to tasmania team. That car really sounds good.

I've been debating about starting with straight pipes, see how that sounds and start adjusting from there.
