Just finished an "aero" mod.
I was really lucky to find a rare front splitter for the 944 NA.
This is how the install came out:
So, what do you guys think....should I paint it the car's color and do a clear coat or just the later....or leave it as is?
Thanks!

I think it looks great as it is, since there will be rocks and all that stuff hitting it. If I had to paint it I would pick a matte black or something like that. Where did you find it?!

I don't think I'd paint it body color for the same reasons mentioned above. Probably leave it flat black, with no clear, easier to touch up periodically that way.
One suggestion: the bolts sticking through the front valance are a bit distracting. Not sure if there's enough meat in the plastic there to use counter-sunk screws, or if you could find some sort of button to cover the bolts, but I'd be looking for some way to make them less obvious.
Looks good, though...I was second in line behind you for that piece when it went up for sale over on Pelican. Nice score!

The bolts have a practical look to them, perhaps a flathead would be better? Either way, looks great. What would be the result of trying to mount a 951/968 splitter? Could it be modded to fit?

I agree on the bolts being exposed. Maybe install an additional "screen" like you have in the upper opening. The bolts could be used to mount it, and would also hide them. Just my opinion, but looks great.

I just spray all of my splitters rattle can black. Makes for quick and easy touch ups.
They really take a beating.
+1 on matte.
+1 on blacking out the insides of the bumper. Much better that screen.

I would have used some stainless countersunk bolts. There are very slight angle counter sunk style bolts. I used them on one of my old VW's when I put a front air dam on.

Thanks for all the opinions guys! I think I will go with painting the inner side of the valance. I had this sucker well tighten in place and this is predominantly a track vehicle so I am not really that crazy about the looks.
Regarding the origin of the splitter - I have no idea. The seller knew only that it was from a 944....not helpful at all. I had to asked him to do all kinds of measurements before I was almost convinced that it is not for a 951. It turned out to be a perfect fit. I think, I lucked out on this purchase
