I an looking to get bigger wheels for my 944 turbo S. Looking into a set of Forgeline wheels. They are 18x10 and 18x8 wheels. The 8" have a 40mm offset and the 10" have a 50mm offset. I am thinking of putting 245/35-18 on the front and 285/30-18 on the rear. Will these fit? The Turbo S fenders are already rolled but I have a stock suspension.

Need help fast.

I was running a 9" with 55mm offset in the rear and am currently running a 10" with 61mm offset in the rear and it fits fine, but yours would sit 11mm farther out. A 50mm offset on a 10" rim may be too little and put it too close or even in line with the fender.

I'm not 100% sure on the fronts. My 7" with 55mm offset fit fine if not a tad bit too far in and could probably benefit from a 6-7mm spacer, but 40mm may be too little for late offset on the front as well. On the fronts it would sit 15mm farther out.

Anyone else who has more experience? I don't know the acceptable threshold for offsets on the late suspension cars.

not really- i am running 18x9-10's 50mm all around- the fronts are ok w/ some camber- the rears must have plenty of camber. I dont think the 40mm offset fronts would fit right w/o some serious camber.

Hi Dan , the front wheels on your 951( going by your photo) genuine Porsche Fuchs are 7" wide and have an offset of 65mm , the Forgeline fronts you mentioned are 40mm off set , that means the rim and tyre side wall will sit out an extra 25mm , that's a large difference and may/ will cause issues with fender clearance and then there will be induced tramtracking caused by the change in the scrub radius ( KPI ) , however if these wheels are for the track only , meaning the front suspension will be set with heaps more neg camber , the front 40mm offset wheel/ tyre may just fit.

The wheels are for track however, I also use the car on the street so I use camber that I can deal with on street and track.

Can anyone just make easy and tell me for 8" fronts and 10" rears what offsets I would need to fit? With all the choices I am going crazy. lol.

you should find some wheels that are 50-60mm offset. 50 you will need some camber like 2.5 all around, 55 should fit fine, and 60 may actually sit in alittle.

Is that for front and rear?

Would like to put as much rubber on as possible. Thinking 285/30 in rear.

If you can find a 10" rear that has an ET of around 60-65 you should be able to put a 285 on the rear (I'm going to run a 285 on a 10" ET61 rim).

We know the 10 et65 Porsche rear wheels work on our late offset suspensions then reference mine, Darwin and others figures you’ll have a better grasp of the possibilities.

I didn't buy the rims but I did go over to a friends house today who has a set of 18x8.5 and 18x10 rims and we put them on my car. His wheels had an offset of about 46-47. We figured out that the 18x8 et40 (front) and the 18x10 et50 (rear) wheels would fit. My fenders are rolled and I do have smaller springs.
