Will a lightweight battery last a full trackday?

Will a lightweight battery last a full trackday?
I've read a ton of stuff on lightweight batteries, but can't seem to find out if they will still fire the engine at the end of a trackday with lots of starts and stops? I'm thinking about those events where you drive for a couple of corners, stop the car, get instructions, start the car, go a couple of corners, and so on and so forth.

what events do u do that u drive for a couple of corners to stop the engine and restart the engine , over and over again during the day?
DE's...you're starting the engine maybe 10 times in total in a day. but alternator is always keeping it charged while you're going around the track..so unless you start the engine, move 10ft, stop the engine, and repeat until the battery dies.....

Odyssey PC 680 - had it installed on my car for 6 months now (relocated battery to trunk too) and it starts my car without any drama. The SLA has more cranking amps than normal lead acids.

I have a Braille lightweight race battery as well as a Deka lightweight battery on my 944 Spec race cars and they are fine the whole weekend. I always stick a battery tender on them when not in use but once I take it to the track, they are good without charging. Just make sure your alternator is functioning properly and you will be ok.

Seeing as how they will last for a whole 24 hour endurance race in an ALMS car where they have to shut off the engine during pit stops and restart a hot race engine I don't think you'll have any problems.

My braille worked ok for one year, second year it was bad, swore I would never buy another "tiny" battery again. I'll take the 15 lbs of extra weight to be sure that my car will start when sitting on the grid, or worse yet, after a spin on track (yes, I had to be towed in).

My Odyssey PC680 lasted one year before it died but I think I killed it by draining all the way. My Deka lightweight has lasted for over 1 year now.
