As Jan points out, there are Kevlar bars on the inside plus there is this in there now...

Thanks Jan. It will be interesting to get the car back and drive it....one day...
The seat has been moved back and onto the floor so a lot more space between helmet and roof. Roof is non sunroof welded in place. As you can see c/f hood. F/g dash. Your doors. Lexan windows and rear hatch. All the wiring and heating, a/c gone. Won't be as light as your car but I can't wait to see how much this is when it's finished.
I've already got some splitter otherwise I'd buy one of yours. Might need some Canards though as we've spoken about.

A little more progressed than that Henk but it's dragging along a bit slowly. Motor is re-assembled for the final time and just waiting to go onto the engine dyno.
It's just a matter of waiting on a few things...like the motor for one, then there's the doors, wheels, gearbox, bodywork, aero, paint etc....All from different shops or suppliers so that gets time consuming of course.
Wish I had your crew working on it hehehe. They're very fast.

Thanks Henk. Same with your build.

Can't wait to see when Jan gets time to finish his car as well. Looks impressive so far.

Yeah, i'm thinking of the doors from Jan, but my minimum race weight will probably 1150kg and I'm below that, so have some time to save up....

What do the stock doors weigh by comparison Jan?
These look very promising. Big weight loss.

Default Weight

Each bare original door weight 41lb + 6.5lb door glasses + electrical motor 6.61lb + wearing lb? + speakers lb? + interior door panel lb?+ handles (exterior 0.661lb) + pockets + hinges.... more than 55lb each OEM door
The CF parts doors 5.29lg + door panel 0.771lb + exterior door handle 0.450lb + race hinges 0.455lb less than 7lb

The save is superior of 48lb on each door
