wanna trade my 924S for something else. 914(914-6 preferably), Alfa spider/milano/etc,Fiat spider/X1/9/128, open to others. Car has a few niggling things that Im gonna have to fix, or can be done by new owner. Im having an issue with the brakes shaking and clutch appears to be going. the rest of the car is in nice condition. Ive just not really connected to this car for some reason?? I mean I like it and overall its in great shape. once the bad is fixed it'll be tip top, but i will still wanna get rid of it. I really would like a 914-6 or Alfa spider

Sad to say, I just dont think Im a 944/924 guy. I mean the members of this section are awesome, 944 owners seem to be the most real Pcar owners, and the cars look sexy but to be honest, Im disappointed in my first Porsche experience. the car (924S) is kinda lame. It doesnt handle for ****, its kinda doggy, and too expensive to tune. I guess its like the old saying "dont meet your hero" ..... I guess my dreams of owning a 308QV or GT4 are out now

914's can be a real headache. Unless you are a good welder. THey rust more then any other car I have ever seen. I made the mistake once and never again. From now on I stick to 924/44

Yup. First year of ownership was like $2000 plus 1500 for the car. That was a full engine rebuild. I have really had no issues since. Some little stuff, but thats expected for a 20+ year old car.

i went the other way- had an n/a, bought a 914 and was disappointed because it didnt handle as great as i thought- it was good- and the power was lacking. Even a 914-6 is low on power unless you do a 3.6 swap, but youd never trade an S for one of those. Our old 924s won its class several times at autocrosses nearly stock.
