Looks like a fun time. Jealous. This is one of the few times I wish I didn't live in Hawaii.

pretend racer....HA! dont think i'll be pulling my mods to run in a stock class any time soon. This car is built for the street AND track- maybe some day i'll get one to run in club racing though.

good job Alan - you were cooking out there!

Actually, I think it's the "paying for" part that keeps most of us out of real racing. Maybe some day. In the meantime... Lemons baby!

1:21's, nice Alan. You were cooking out there....looking forward to driving at Putnam with you - Ill check on some dates.

TRASH MN in the GT2! - took about 6 laps of me being inches off his bumper in every corner before he grudgingly threw the pass signal out the window. He would get to the straights and just be gone...fun chasing that kind of power down though.

Hah, you must have been on crack to think my car is nice . I tried to hunt you down but after approaching 3 people saying "Are you XSBOOST?" I gave up. Your car looks even better in person if its possible

I missed you guys out there this year. Hopefully I will be able to make it again next year. I need another session at Nelson, my only session there I got 1:20's a couple of years ago.

Chip, I wish I was allowed to race both financially and with permission. Oh well, I will have to get the racing out in the karting instead and just do some special DE's. I am with Dan, I do not want pull of anything to run my car. If I were to go club racing or more than likely NASA it would probably be with a spec 944.

You were as fast or faster in the m coupe. I only took video in my last session, and I think I had one lap with no hold-ups, which according to the video was 1:21:??. Maybe not exactly accurate, but I'll go with it 'cause that number makes me happy.

I just sent you and Dan a pm about Putnam... you should go to the OVR event July 18-19.

Sam, if I was your instructor or were there, that would not have happened....

Dan/TJ,

I think both of you would do well in with club racing - but I certainly understand the financial committment. If you have the ability to wrench on your own car (and you both do), you can cut costs considerably. And, you always have the option of runing/instructing DE's for the speed fix. Race as little or as much as you like (or can afford).

The big cost is getting the car prepped - after that, its not too bad. If you can find a car already prepared - even better.

Like anything else, we always need new blood to keep the show going. Especially if the new blood has some talent (instead of just money).

And just like your first DE, the first time you come around the last turn on the pace lap with 45 of your closest friends and that green flag waves, you will wonder why the hell you waited so long.

At the Mid Ohio race, 6 of us qualified less than a second apart - and spent the next 30 minutes slugging it out. Then it started raining - and things got really interesting . This is high adventure boys.

Life is too short - if you're thinking about racing, now is the time. As motorhead speed freaks - you will regret not giving it a shot.

hooah.
