Installed new Konis yesterday put on refinished cookie cutters, installed the reupholstered seat and took The SE for a run. Been a year since he was running the roads. All went well so he goes to work with.me tomorrow
Took it out for a drive for the first time in 6-7 weeks. It's been snowing practically non-stop in Wisconsin since the end of January, but we seem to be having some warmer (high-30s) weather now and the snow is melting away!
Did quick look over and pictures of stock engine in project Franky before I pull it out for the swap. Pulled plugs and rotated it a number of times making sure it spun freely, no busted timing belt or signs of earlier failure. Still debating if sell it for a good core/running longlock or keep it for son to work on as a replacement for his car (193K but still running strong)
Hauled my 924 Turbo to the crusher. No one wanted it and I didn't want to restore it. Too bad that another rare car bites the dust.
i want that car. Seems kinda extreme. I have the attitude I can fix anything. How bad was it? Turbo 924s are super rare. At least pull the engine out. Grr
After knocking off my rear view mirror I decided to refresh the faded black color with a bit of SEM and then reinstall it. The small things add up over time.
