What did you do to your 924/944 today

Picked up a 1991 S2 black carpet kit in excellent condition. With split rear seats and the cargo cover. Dropped the hatch carpet in and noticed the left pocket is shorter. Wonder why? Researching new speakers and heat/sound deadening for when I replace all the carpet.

I just took out the center console in my '83. It looks like I took a knife up the center of the dash and let the guts spill out.
Now I need to figure out how to trim and hide all the excess wiring and re-mount the oil gauge. I'm debating on what to do with the aftermarket stereo deck as well. This is going to primarily be a track car but It will be driven to and from the track so I may want some tunes. Maybe hide it in the glove box and only keep the door speakers?

Used my 944 for my senior pictures today. It's hard looking at the pictures and realizing the car is more attractive than its owner. But then again, I'd rather have people look at the car than me.

Sat in Border crossing traffic for more than an hour at the 1000 Islands entry point today. It was 28 degrees and the AC fan kept temperature pegged at the first white line. Thank you oh wonderful 1987 924s!
It's always worth it for a drive along the St. Lawrence, Fineview village and everything else good about this area.

Ordered my n/a tune. Now I'm just itchin' to get it and install it. It will likely turn a little bit into a "while I'm at it" kind of afternoon. Once stuff is apart, I sometimes get a bit carried away.

Hi,
I'm Henry from Germany and I own my NA 944/I since 1986.
Today I installed Joshuas MAF-Kit. It works great, it is definitely an improvment for the car
The next days I'm going to install the 4° offset Camshaft Key.

I had a track day on Friday. hit a piece of firewood on the trip down which has given my car a crooked smile and a creased fender. It was just sitting in the middle of the road. it was at night, i was following a van which I couldn't see past. he drove straight over it with his ride height clearance. I couldn't avoid it in time
The track day was great. i still have my stock suspension (bar turbo sways) so I still need to sort that out.
On the way home on Monday afternoon I had been stuck behind this truck for several kms and had a queue of traffic behind me. Conditions are wet with localized showers. I have my lights on which I normally do in less than average conditions. Note my following distance, I've been in this guys mirrors for about 10-15 mins. Holding a truck licence myself i'm conscious of being visible to truck drivers. A passing lane comes up, I anticipate it, indicate right, drop a gear and accelerate. The truck then indicates and pulls out. I have no idea if hes seen me so I brake hard and nearly wear a blue Holden from behind. Possibly he thought I was turning off at the intersection just before the passing lane but if he was watching his mirrors and the line forming behind me for the passing lane it would have been obvious.

Just received my new steering wheel. The crease across the airbag in the second picture isn't there any more.
Now to review gregeast's post on setting up tiptronic buttons to run the stereo. Mine will be more challenging since it came out of a 997.1.
Anyone know where to get the wiring/circuit diagram for this wheel?
