Cool Official Rennlist Driving Music Thread! Part 1: Nominations

Post your nominations for the best driving songs!

I want to compile a CD and make copies for anyone who wants one. I think it'd be fun. Could someone make a cool graphic and liner for the jewel cases to make them look spiffy?? I wanna name each track that gets selected the user name of whoever suggested it...I'd just need a small shipping and CD contribution from each of you who want a copy.

Cypress Hill - Rock Superstar
Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go

I'll begin Part 2 about a week from now [or when traffic in this thread slows down] and that will be the voting thread. I'll just have each of you vote for your top three choices and I'll tally from there...Ready, Steady, GO!

For starters, You're going to need a CD/MP3 player in your car like I've got in mine..187 songs on one CD..we're talking about a whole Jukebox of variety on one disk..forget those changers that ad weight.

And I nominate Golden Earing..Radar Love

Man, I'm sorry, but this topic is too good to let pass.

Here's more:

Earth Crisis - Slither
Everdown - Unleaded
Clawfinger - Biggest and the Best
Papa Roach - Thrown Away (just screams: "DRIVE!")
Downset - Pure Trauma (bad name, good song)
KMFDM - Wrath

Heh, I guess my youth is showing!

For those who aren't hip to MP3's, I offer the following downloads. Opposite ends of a wide spectrum:

<a href="http://home.earthlink.net/~944fest/CumMyLady.MP3" target="_blank">Butterfly</a>

<a href="http://home.earthlink.net/~944fest/NSinatraBoots.mp3" target="_blank">Boots are made for Walkin'</a>

If you are into MP3's you probably have thousands. If not, you don't know what you are missing. These are just teasers, the web is full of them if you know where to look. These links may cease to work as soon as my server gets swamped, sorry. If you have a dial up, these are 2500 or 3000K files..Be warned, it may take a while, but it's good stuff. My fav MP3 player is Winamp, available from <a href="http://www.winamp.com/" target="_blank">winamp</a> I invite other folks to post links to their fav MP3's, I'd love to get them. Be warned, MP3's are a very "grey" legal issue. Procceed at your own risk.
