Reverse the polarity of the blinker fluid you moron. Don't you read instructions? Now you have to drain it all and start again. Make sure the plus fluid you know with the + sign goes to the + blinker. Sheesh, some people. Edit, or you can do it John's way. That will reverse the polarity of the fluid and probably a few other things too.

not to get off topic here but has anyone tried those crossdrilled brake lines. They are supposed to run much cooler.

anyone know if Lucas blinker fluid stop leak works as a temporary fix until I can get the blinker fluid system rebuilt? My mechanic says it's about 8 hours labor to overhaul the system and replace all the seals.

According to the workshop manual the "Blinkerflüssigkeit" or "blinker fluid" should be 20W-40. I have been using 10W-30 so this might be my problem. If I go to the higher viscosity this might stop the slosh and foaming and might even fix some of the leaks. I seem to be getting more leakage during aggresive right-hand turns. Anyone know what motion ratio I should use to determine the actual rate at the rear blinker? I assume it's = wheel rate * (distance from wheel to blinker). Maybe progressive rear springs would stop the problem.

Everyone should sell their NA blinker fluid and buy Turbo blinker fluid.

Ahem...and someone else should sell the car and save himself a coronary and everyone else the drama...ahem.

Great thread.

I have had bad experience with Lucas Blinker fluid and stop leak. First of all it seems to work only during the daylight and never in the rain. I switched to Bosch and things went back to normal. I have been told that Lucas fluids are designed for winky-winky systems as on the Morris Minor and are unsuited for German cars.

Gina and Mike I think you need to exercise your left blinker more, by making all those right hand turns the other side is getting cranky not to mention atrophied.

Think fair and balanced. If you insist on favoring right hand turns (you must have not voted for Obama) then a set of baffles as described earlier will help.

are you crazy! Turbo blinker fluid is the leading cause of early muffler bearing wear, leading to catastrophic failure of vented fuel lines! ugh!

Everyone knows it's the only way to go faster! The key is to not overboost.

Apologies, but my car didn't come with a manual. May I borrow yours or should I start six threads and ask the same questions over and over with the understanding that, although I'm asking for advice, I likely won't follow any of it until page 9?
