Default Custom 968 hatch

Found this on Craigslist
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...986189674.html

I shot the guy an email and this was the response-
dont know much about the history of this hatch.it was on my 968 i didnt like it and returned it to its original hatch.its made of metal and it doesnt leak but the upper part has some paint cracks.the original owner of the car had it made due to the fact that it had an accident and cant find an original hatch available
It might be worth it if it really doesn't leak....

THIS IS NOT MY HATCH!!!!

I would much rather run a $75 944 hatch than that thing. IMHO the main reason I have a 944 instead of, say, a 911, is that the trunk is huge. That hatch decimates the cargo capacity!

believe that's the hatch made by jaquemond (sp?)....seen it on 944's but never on a 968.

not my taste...

For a track car, this would be great -- probably saves 50lbs, at least.

GT Racing products look very similar (there are two version in their catalog) -- but the wing is different.

Have you ever tried just cleaning out the drain holes? Just shoot some air through them or use something small and thing to clean out the dirt. And get another seal.

Just a thought.

not from the back, that's not the problem, the entire rim all the way up along the sides holds water, and at the right angle (often when closing the hatch) the water dumps out the sides onto my clean paint/wax/car (always happens after it rains or after washing the car)....resulting in me being pissed off. Thanks for the suggestion though!
