Race chip sounds like it would be nice with the selector... Especially if we can have all the stock, 91, and 93 all in one.

I'll definetly buy into that combo..

The race chip is VERY sweet, Been running them in my maxtronic for 4 days now, I freaking Love it, Really made the car come alive, Im running 93 and have a 10.2CR no ping or knock and Im not being gentle with this thing at all. I think one of the big performance problems with the NA cars is the timing curve, Seems like Russell's timing curve and advancement is just what the NA car needs to make it wake up. I really Really wish I could find 100 ocatne, 93 and Russells Race chip make my car fell amazing, I cant even think what a 100 octane map would be like, Where can I get 100 octane in CT

Quickly read through this thread and have some questions:

1) What has to be done to an early DME? I'm skilled in removing soldered in chips.

2) Can you easily switch from street to track maps? Like in one minute or less?

3) What kind of MPG do you get with V7?

4) Is there any kind of warranty?

IIRC the new Sunoco station has 93...how much for a race chip then Russell...and what do I do with the chip I have....hmmm...

anyone here add octane booster to their tanks...I would appreciate insight if that stuff is any good or not.

Octane booster does almost nothing to the knock resistance of the gas, you might gain a point from it.

1) On the early cars the programming is spread across more than one chip, these have to be removed, and an adapter board put in place with a single chip socket. I haven't bothered with development on this because other people already have. FR Wilk sells an adapter board, and I believe does turnkey conversions. Another fellow designed one, and was going to work with me to build conversion, turnkey units, his board and my chips. He kind of fell off the planet for some reason.

2) A post in this thread has pictures of the multi-board, which allows you to switch between up to 8 different maps very quickly, as the switch itself will be outside of the DME box.

3) No idea on MPG, but historically people have told me that their MPG improves with my performance chips. Which only makes sense, more efficient power is also cheaper power.

4) All of my chip products come with a 30 day money back guarantee.

Regards,
Russell

Over on the 944 Turbo forum there has been much discussion about octane, and mixing other chemicals like toulene/zylene (probably not spelled right) to pump fuel to raise octane, and there are even ratio numbers and research to back it up.

Not worth the trouble.

Russell, what is this about "race" chips now? Looking forward to that selector; but I would definitely prefer being able to switch it with an external electronic switch instead of having to take the kick panel out.

You would think so, but those who actually do it know better.

Yep........ baited once again my apologies

Pricing on the multi-boards will go like this, standard chip price is 199.00, multi-board will add 50.00. So for 249 you get the multi-board with stock map and performance map. If you wanted to add more maps they are 50.00 each. So a multi-board with stock/street/race maps would be about 300.00. Also, if you wanted no-start and valet modes for security, I will add those at no additional charge.

Russell

works fine yes, but I would never tell anyone my car is faster. There are some pretty badass 951's out there

with that said

2 other cars that have some pretty well documented performance numbers runnign corn juice are:
Corleone and 95one

I also know of at least 5 others running on it that don't post about it..

The product now is MaxTune, using a Moates Ostrich2 rather than the maxtronic.

The Maxtronic was discontinued a while back.

Works very well, I have been using it on my 951 for over a year.

Contact Russel at http://www.maxhpkit.com/ for more info.

Moates is located at http://www.moates.net/

So this a DIY tuning solution then? I thought you told him what kind of mods you have then he burns a chip for you.

Yes, OR you can buy MaxTune, and the ostrich, and perform your own tune as you change your car.

same as with TunerPro, Maxtune even allows for live tuning so you can modify your maps as you are driving to dial in the values...
