0.8bar = 11.6psi

but you shouldn't try to think of the bar/psi boost as how much power you get. the boost level depends on your intake and exhaust configurations. a good configuration can make more power with less psi with the same pulley speed.

Well

In which gone about things sense??

I select my Eaton, and i work on the pully?

did you have the characteristics of M45, M62...

I find
M90 for 3.0L at 5.0L
M62 for 2.5L at 4.0L
M45 for 2.5 at 3.0L

In france the M45 cost 470$.. Is the more common and less $$

When is it necessary? Always with surcharged system
I don't have a Jackson Racing setup (don't even have a miata!). But I do have a supercharged engine in my daily driver -- 3.2 liters, 350 HP. (C32 AMG)

It actually uses an air-to-water intercooler that sits between the supercharger and the intake. Pretty compact setup.

I wonder if the small Benz superchargers (Kompressor) would work.

just because a supercharger runs at .8bar on the mini doesnt mean it will on the 944.

the boost pressure is determined by the flow of the engine and the speed at which the supercharger is spinning. speed is determined by the pulley ratio of the sizes of the engine crank pulley compared to the supercharger pulley. the accessory pulley on a 944NA is about 13.5cm in diamater, find the diameter of the supercharger's pulley and you will determine the speed ratio. but only once the supercharger is bolted onto the engine will you be able to figure out what your boost pressure is.

and the bigger the blower, the more hp it'll take to drive it. the m62 i have on my acura rsx uses about 30hp at peak rpm. that's a 2.0 Liter engine.

i think a m62 would be more than enuff for a 2.5L 944.

okay!!
And when my the supercharger is bolted onto the engine, i adjust my diameter of pully for regulate pressure!

M62 is suffisant, good...

And the m45 is too..
I know the M62 is for a lot Hp

I want to search the volumetrical air into 6500 rpm

i go into my bed!!

thanks for all!

I like this guy already.

Does anybody know of a write up on supercharging a 944 2.5?
i saw a guy on cardomain who used a mazda (not Miata) charger, and it looked like a great setup... but ofcourse i cant find it again.

Personally I don't think the 62 is a good choice unless you are using a cog system or configure a wider belt. You do have to take into account belt slippage. Even with a 6 rib setup from an 86 I had to run the belt pretty tight and once it wore in it would not make as much boost and would take longer.

My m90 wouldn't build boost immediately until I was running high pressure. With the lower boost it would still take small amount of rpm to make boost.

Don't get me wrong I still love my supercharge setup, it was much more fun around town compared to my 951

mine is the gold car in photos above

sid, how much belt wrap do you have? i had a crappy picture but it looked like you have it around the a/c and alternator. looks to be about 90degrees of the pulley.

If you look at the photo closely, you'll see an idler pulley under the blower pulley that allows fro 180 degrees+

wow u have belt slip with 180degrees of wrap on a 6 rib??

on my rsx, i don't think i even have 180degrees and i don't get any slip up to 8800rpm. 6 rib too

It's not suffisant for 2.5??

I clarify i just want 200hp.. for the fun.. i don't want to dragster car, and i don't want to revise my compression ratio

I had a PES G2 kit on my old Audi... used a M62 Eaton to feed 2.8L of V6. Boost was set around 1 bar with no intercooler.
