Default 944 V-8 hot rod for sale on Hawaii Craigslist

http://honolulu.craigslist.org/mau/cto/854775593.html

This is interesting in a many ways. It was on Craigslist here about nine months ago, then disappeared. Now it's back. If I rememebr correctly, the seller also had other hot rods for sale at the same time.

Discuss.

I've always wondered, how much more does a V-8 power plant weigh than a n/a 4 banger. Would it significantly affect the 50/50 balance of the car? Wouldn't it stress the suspension much?

all aluminum V8 is about 60 lbs heavier than the 2.5NA engine. probably around on par with a turbo engine.

i believe an iron block (first and second gen sbc) weighs around 110-130 pounds more, and depending on the accessories and parts like aluminum heads and such you can knock that down pretty quickly. Actually i believe the little extra weight in the front actually helps with the very slight inherent understeer of the car (I THINK!!! NOT SURE!)
