the reason everyone says to just get a turbo is that there is not much in the way of cheap upgrades for the NA 2.5. It costs too much. It is cheaper to just get a turbo.

Supercharge it.

If you can get good power of out of it n/a style then you'd be the first, and become a legend 'round here.

Why spend all that money just to upgrade acceleration to mediocre? 2.5 n/a ain't fast. 951 is. If you put the money you're going to put into your 2.5 into a 951, you could have 350HP.

only option is to supercharge it.

I don't care if another car can beat my 944 though. No matter how fast your car is there'll always be a faster car that will embarass you.

As long as the car is fast enough to be fun for me I don't care if some guy's twin turbo honda civic is faster.

the new Hyundai Genesis that is coming out soon with a v8 makes 375 hp so it'll beat most 951s,928s etc in accelleration.

Well obviously. Go search around the Pelican forum.. they're a bit more robust with that sort of thing. Also "blown944" has some talk about it here.

lol you can supercharge any engine if you have the skill, time and money. If you have the skill to fabricate your own mounts/ plumbing etc it shouldn't cost too much.

SFR sells bolt on 944 supercharger kits, stage 2 makes 220 rwhp. The stage 2 kit makes more horsepower than a stock 951 but less torque I think.

I'd love to get a SFR supercharger kit but the kit is worth more than a 944 na. I think 6 grand for the stage 2 and stage one is 5000 I believe. stage 2 has higher boost / a intercooler

personally I'd like to get a 944s2 or a 968 then supercharger that and you'd get pretty good power

you can find a small block chevy from a truck (a 5.3 vortec V8) for like $500 that makes around 300HP stock and with a cam and a head swap can make over 400 easy.
