As for me, I eagerly await the day that "944 NA" doesn't induce forced induction envy.

Uhhhh....I guess they would fit fine. But ....you DO know those costs more than four times what your car is worth right?

Very cool though!!

I gotta link that to the guys on the other board.

i think itd take at least a dozen 944 carcasses to make up that much money lol

ill gladly help you convince the wife-unit to sell her minivan so you can buy fancy heads for your yet-to-be-acquired smallblock. theyd make some fantastic paperweights.

Proof it is better to buy a car already done. for a little more money and no work you could have walked into my S2 with 74k miles and a new clutch, etc. But the edumucation is priceless.

but all my money put into the craptacular brown car got me a freshly rebuilt engine, all new suspension, a bunch of other parts and now i know that they will last for a long time

besides all that money was over the course of the last (3 years in november )!!

if i had $9500 at the time in 2005 i would have either bought your S2 or bought the black 928 that got me hooked on p-cars...

if you had $4400 to spend on a completely new cylinder head you could probably get similar numbers from your turbo.

vitesse's HiPo "sledgehammer" head is around $3500 and they say bolton will give you 30 more HP from just freed up airflow.

I agree. My stock bottom end is holding well above 400wheel hp (100 more than the stock LS1) just fine. STOCK head and cams.
I went above and beyond. But now that it's done. I could have got it to make the same power with around 4K. (If I hadn't burned up my wiring under the dash - not my fault) and very little work compared to a motor swap.
That said. I love the LS motors. Light and tons of power potential.
