All of the Saratoga's I've seen had the tint layer between the layers of safety glass to prevent scratches. That one has scratches on the tint inside Too far for me...gas prices add another $45. I'm sure some BA person will pick it up.

I bet it'd be expensive to ship. If I were near I'd pay $150 just to try it out!

Someone go pick it up -- I almost did last week, but I'm too busy to drive around town these days.

Maybe he's sitting on a 1st gen Saratoga -- which I read someplace is different from 2nd gen Saratoga (frames versus frameless). And he doesn't know the difference...

There are some weid tops out there lurking Steve, before I bought mine from Lego, I requested pics of each I found. I never did see a frameless.

I called the guy up last week and check the sunroof and it was not a saratoga top. The tint on that sunroof is kinda like the one that you put on a car (windows). It looks ok and for the price that he's asking for is a great deal for a sunroof for a 944.I was going to buy it from him last week if it was a saratoga top and resell it.

I don't know how that wouldn't be a saratoga. I bought one earlier this year in nice shape. It's the early style. It has an aluminum frame around the glass with a seal. The early glass is supposed to be a smoked tint color, as opposed to the later 'togas are all glass with a hidden seal (underneathe the glass) and they are a gold tint. The one I have is a smoked tint top (early, framed).

Very possible someone could have tinted the glass with window tint. I know mine isn't very dark, it's just relfective (can obviously see this in the picture). That top is a saratoga, and someone needs to go buy it!

See mine-

As far as I know Saratoga is the only company that made glass sunroofs for our cars and that one sure as hell looks like a Saratoga top. Maybe the guy thinks it is not one because the framed tops did not have the Saratoga logo like the frameless tops did...
