Cool Parting '88 951...

Hey all, I haven't been on here in while as I am in college, but I am out for the summer and parting my other 944! It is an '88 red turbo with 130,000 ticks on the odometer. I bought the car about two years ago as a non-running project and ended up coming the the realization that this car is just not worth saving.

Anyway, it has good compression- I haven't tested it in a while, but if anyone is interested in the block, I will run it again and post the numbers. I believe that the problem with this car is related to the reference sensors... when I got it, both of the wires from the harness were severed. I purchased a cheap harness off ebay and fished them in, but with no luck. It gets gas, but the neither the coil or the injectors fire.

So thats that! Any requests for parts or offers for the whole car are gladly welcomed. Will post pictures ASAP!

BTW: Turbo nose has a small crack in it near one of the side marker lights, will post picture of that with the others.

is it an S-model turbo?

before you forsake the car try cleaning the injectors/checking their connections, swapping a coil and maybe a DME too...you might save it

marky552: I am located in Crystal River, FL... just noticed that you are from Cary, I have some family there, nice place!

V2rocket: Unfortunately I just do not have time or patience to fix this car. If it were really worth enough running, I might. My dad and I have a '65 VW road-racer that we haven't gotten to work with and I have two other cars. Might be a fun project for someone else though!

If it does end up getting parted I'd like a chance at the driver's fender...if its in good shape. Thanks.
