possible stolen 87 gold 951 in SoCal?
I've come across a gold 1987 951 that has no paperwork, no keys, no license plates. The VIN plate at the windshield has been broken out.
Over the phone, the VIN reported to me was:
WPOAA2950HN152144.
Sounds stolen to me. If it is, let's find the owner. Any help?

If you get to see it in person, check the other vin plate spots and see if they are there. If so, record the VIN (or snap a pic really quick while the owner isn't looking) and be really cool, saying you'll talk to the wife about it or something. When you leave, go to a DMV and see if that vin has been reported stolen. That's what i would do.

The car was reported to me. It's not for sale. I think we can really do some good things to combat stolen 944 parts and cars because there are so many Rennlist eyes and ears out there.
Believe it or not, I've already had 2 unsolicited reports about the same individual being a parts thief in our 944 community. So you can see, there's already some good coming out of this post. Smoke 'em out and hang 'em high, I say.

Lart,
I'm failing to see the point of your last post? Do you think this is funny?
I don't take stealing lightly.
We have strong evidence, but can't prove guilt.

Well, I don't understand why you don't expose the thief. About 2 years ago a scumbag, Morgan Kepper aka turby, violated our comunity by stealing vehicles that were belong to rennlist members and had the guts of selling the parts on this forum. If you have an idea of who this guy selling a stolen 951 is why don't you disclose it?
