Painting rims to match the car. Anyone done this?
I am thinking of painting my 17" boxter rims guards red to match my 944 cab. I have not decided on solid red or red and black. Does anyone (other than black) have their rims matching the ex of the car. Thanks

User jgporsche powdercoated some wheels with the same colors as above and it looked pretty good.

Keith, Thank you Thank you Thank you. That was just what I was looking for. I didn't think I could do two tone since there is no lip on my rims, but that guy has the same rims!!! I sent him a email to see if he still has them. Thanks again, my PS skills are very crappy so chopping a set was not working out for me.

LOL. I think its due to the fact that it is very low and also that damn door trim strip down the side of the car. It breaks up the car a bit and makes the side of the car not look as tall as it really is. Whenever I finally get around to getting it painted the side door trim parts are coming off and never going back on.

All red
Here is red with old skool white walls
I also have a white set and a standard black set. I wanted to have different colors since i started to get confused which of my 3 sets of wheels were which.

m758, there's a guy who I always see at the parts store with some old, old (i.e. late 50's) MB 4 door. He's this eastern European guy and, rather than buying actual whitewalls, decided to break out the Rustoleum off-white.
