Default Whats This wire?

What is this wire for that is attached to my cross-member? obviously the other end is attached to nothing.... and there is nothing to attach it to... Thanks in advance

It's the ground wire for the horn. There is a screw on the PS rack for the loose end. (I don't remember exactly where it is on the rack.)

Chassis ground..? I have one bolted to the crossmember.

It is a ground strap from the steering rack to the x-member.

The steering system is made up of various metals (aluminum, steel, cast iron) and over time very slight electrical currents can (maybe) cause corrosion. Grounding everything helps to prevent this. The effect is what causes much of the corrosion in cooling systems. Your steering rack might spontaneously fall off your car in about 200 years if you leave it disconnected.

I left that wire off once and my car rotted in 2 weeks time. I also got oil in my coolant, snapped my belts and my power steering started leaking. Ground it...
