Default First wave of repairs done! Time to show off new pics!

First a HUGE thanks to Travis for assisting me in my time of need with my control arms. I'm still trying to get the hang of this whole "do you own maintenance" thing but hopefully in time I'll get a little better at it.

So in the last two weeks my car has had its control arms replaced, 968 castor blocks added, and an upgrade to 17" rims (thanks Raj - I love the look of them!) from the stock D-90s I've had since I bought the car in 2002. Once all of this was done it went in for an alignment to put everything back into specifications.

The feel of the car is tremendously improved. Whereas before the car felt a little light up front before and had a lot of play in the steering, now it feels solid and the way a 944 should. I know its far from ideal but considering I still have my stock shocks/springs I'm pretty impressed. That by the way is one of the next phases of upgrades/repairs...

In any case, here are a few photos I took this morning. I'm not a great photographer but I try

Oh and the last photo is there to pay homage to the greatest discussion forum out there and to make all the rest of you just a little bit jealous!

Thanks!

Yes the car is completely stock (except for the changes you see). The S2 series was basically a Turbo car with a different engine. The external features and suspension remained but the engine was the 3.0 liter 16 valve engine instead of the 2.5 8v turbo.

Thought they looked familiar, that is what I have on mine. The noisiest tires ever made, great grip though.

Haha! I guess that's what I get for taking these pics in a high school parking lot.

Richard - the tires are Goodyear Eagle F1's. They came with the rims when I bought them. I'm happy with them so far as they seem fairly quiet. I'm interested to see how well they do in the rain...If it ever rains here again that is!

The sizes of the tires are 225/45 in front and 255/40 in the rear.
